A wonderful performance at Beit Tovei Ha'Ir

Since the war, and even before that, since Covid, I haven't really performed in senior residences. This winter, I'm changing that, and it is wonderful.
Last week I had the pleasure of performing Sinatra not once, but twice, at the fantastic Beit Tovai Hair senior residence.
Why twice?
Once for the English speakers, and once for the Hebrew ones. Sometimes I do the show in both languages at the same time, which is a challenge. It works nicely, but it's much easier just to stick with one. You don't have to remember what you translated or didn't translate yet.
And both shows were great, and even more former bobbysoxers came up to talk with me after the performances.
There was a bittersweet element to it, in that my Rabbi and the founder of my high school, Rabbi Meyer Fendel was not there to attend. He passed away about two months ago, at the age of 98. This place had been his home for the last couple of decades of his life.
I very much look forward to performing in more places like this. Sinatra, especially, is the perfect show for these delightful audiences.
